Road Building Applications

Process Base Material and Millings on the Job Site

Road building and paving contractors work with material that demands real screening performance. Asphalt millings need the up-and-down motion of a spring-mounted deck to break apart and size correctly. Aggregate base material needs consistent screening to meet spec. The 10S delivers both, at a price well below what most comparable screening plants cost to own or rent.

The adjustable screening angle on the 10S gives contractors control over how material flows across the deck, which matters when working with millings at different temperatures or aggregate at varying moisture levels. Built from quarter-inch structural tube steel and powered by a Honda GX engine, every unit ships fully assembled and ready to produce on day one.

What Road Contractors Screen with Ceasars

01

Asphalt Millings

Asphalt millings need real screening performance to process correctly. The spring-mounted deck on the 10S generates up-and-down motion that breaks apart clumped millings and produces a consistent, sized output suitable for base work, temporary access, or resale. Chain-suspended screeners in the same size category can't generate the same motion, which limits what they can do with this material.

Processed millings have a ready market as driveway base and road sub-base material. Screening on-site adds a revenue stream to every milling job without additional haul cycles.

02

Aggregate Base

Screen aggregate base material to remove fines, oversized stone, or contaminants before it goes into a road structure. Starting with a clean, properly graded base is one of the best ways to protect the pavement above it and reduce the likelihood of premature failure. The 10S produces consistent output at 20 to 35 yards per hour, keeping pace with your placement operation.

The adjustable leg jacks give you control over screening angle based on aggregate moisture level and gradation, without stopping production to make mechanical changes.

03

Crushed Stone

Size crushed stone for base layers, pipe bedding, or drainage blanket applications on road and utility projects. The 10S woven wire screens can be changed in as little as 15 minutes, making it practical to shift gradations as your project spec changes without losing a half-day of production.

At under $13,000, the 10S brings screening capability that most road contractors previously had to rent or subcontract — now it's part of your standard lineup.

04

Subgrade Material

Process subgrade material to separate organics, debris, and oversized pieces before compaction. Cleaner subgrade performs better under load and gives you a more consistent foundation for the base layers that follow. Screened subgrade that would otherwise go to waste can often be reused in the same project, reducing both disposal and material costs.

The 10S is powered by a Honda GX engine and runs without shore power, making it practical to deploy on remote road projects without a generator on-site.
